Hello, my name is Debbie Church, I decided to open Pawz Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre when my Labrador “Benji” was diagnosed at 8 months old with hip dysplasia. The vet recommended hydrotherapy treatment with a possible operation later.

I was able to get Benji into hydrotherapy, initially twice a week then once a week. Benji loved the water and continues to enjoy swimming. After 6 months the vet was impressed with Benji’s progress and Benji did not need an operation which would have been traumatic for him and the family not to mention the bank balance!

I was also impressed and wanted to find out more about hydrotherapy which then led me to do my training at Hawksmoor Training Centre, currently the only accredited training centre in the UK

I achieved a Level 3 in Hydrotherapy which included Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Conditions, Practice and Procedure of hydrotherapy. I am also qualified in the Management of Hip & Elbow Dysplasia, Spinal Conditions in the dog, Canine First Aid, management of Arthritic Conditions and I have achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Canine Studies.

Client Feedback

"   I went to Pawz after my 8 month old German Shepherd was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. From my initial phone call as a worried pet owner everyone at Pawz has been brilliant. Debbie has been very patient with a very nervous dog, never pushing too hard but not giving up too soon.

In 8 months Sheba has gone from not wanting to stand up and walk around to a normal 16 month old Shepherd always jumping about and wanting to play and is now completely off her medication. I would recommend this centre to anyone who wants the best for their animal.   "

Thanks to everyone at Pawz hydrotherapy.
